When you've successfully negotiated with a seller agent, you'll receive an agreement proposal to finalize your property purchase. Here's what you need to know about receiving and responding to this important document:
Receiving the agreement proposal
You'll receive an email when the seller agent sends an agreement proposal
The proposal will also appear in your Anyone account under Dashboard > For Buying > Agreements Reached
Click on the agreement proposal to review it
Reviewing and signing
When you click on the agreement proposal, a summary sidebar will appear
Click View agreement in this sidebar to see the full document
Take time to carefully review all terms and conditions
In this screen, you can choose to accept or decline the proposal
The seller and seller agent will be notified of your decision
Important information
Agreement proposals have expiration dates, so check the status to know how much time you have to respond
Only you as the buyer can accept the agreement proposal, even if you're represented by an agent
Your buyer agent cannot accept the proposal on your behalf
After you've accepted the agreement, the notary office will typically finalize the transaction
The property will be marked as "sold" once the seller agent manually updates the status after the notary process is complete. Until then, the property status will be "pending agreement"
If you have any questions about your agreement proposal, don't hesitate to contact your buyer agent or our support team for assistance.
