Send an agreement proposal

This guide walks you through the process of sending an agreement proposal to buyers.

Updated this week

You can send an agreement proposal at any time (usually after agreeing to an offer proposal via the communication center).

Sending the proposal

This can be done in two ways.

  1. Navigate to the communication center and open the conversation with the buyer or buyer's agent, then click the Send agreement proposal button in the top right

  2. Navigate to the selling dashboard, open the listing, then go to the offers tab and click See details next to the offer you'd like to convert to an agreement proposal. Then in the bottom, click Send agreement proposal

Set deadline (optional)

  1. Choose whether to add a response deadline

  2. If yes, select the specific date and time

  3. This creates urgency and helps keep the transaction moving forward

Key agreement details

  1. Select the legal transfer date

  2. Enter the agreed-upon purchase price

  3. Review to ensure accuracy

Add conditions

You can add conditions for both parties:

Seller conditions might include:

  • Subject to finding suitable replacement property

  • Subject to attorney review

Buyer conditions might include:

  • Subject to technical building inspection

  • Subject to appraisal

  • Subject to mortgage approval

  • Subject to sale of current property

Review and confirm

  1. Carefully review all information on the summary page

  2. Verify all dates, amounts, and conditions

  3. Check the confirmation box at the bottom

  4. Click Send proposal to finalize

Track your proposal

After sending:

  • Both seller and buyer parties receive notifications

  • The agreement appears in your property dashboard

  • You can also find it in the communication center

  • The home will appear as subject to contract on our platform

Managing the proposal

If needed, you can:

  • Open the agreement from either location

  • Withdraw the proposal from the summary screen

  • Send a revised proposal if circumstances change

Finalizing the transaction

  • Once accepted by the buyer, proceed with finalizing the transaction through the official channels in your country

  • After the transaction is officially completed, manually change the listing status to "sold"

    • You can do this in the agreement reached section of the listing on your selling overview

    • Click Not signed and select Signed to update the status

If the deal falls through

  • If the agreement is not completed, you can manually change the listing status back to "for sale"

    • Go to the agreement reached section of the listing on your selling overview

    • Click Not signed and select Rejected to update the status. This makes the property available for new offers again
